Greetings from San Francisco! I am here attending the International Invasive Lobular Carcinoma Symposium with 300 others – patient advocates, researchers and clinicians. I’m grateful for the opportunity to be here and to learn so much.
With flying here and being immersed in the meeting I’d literally forgotten I had a PET scan on Monday and so when I saw “Test Results” in my email it took a moment for me to reset my mind. (This is a fabulous thing to have happen BTW, forget I’ve had a scan!)
Short version: Stable, no new metastasis. 🥳
This means the next 3 months of my life will be as “normal” as possible. That’s a good thing, especially because I have plans!
You will hear from me again very soon as we are about to embark on October – Breast Cancer Action (Awareness) Month. I hope my annual reminder and tips are not getting old!
For the reminder of the year I have work and personal trips. In November Glen and I will visit Evelyn in Boston (where she is now living and working!) and we will spend Thanksgiving in California with Maddy. Just today I purchased tickets for us to fly to Wisconsin for the holidays. It’s going to be a full 3 months until those next scans!
